Jamaica Awareness Association of California funds its projects through sponsorships and fundraising events. For the past 28 years, the Los Angeles community has come to anticipate JAAC’s largest fundraising event in November with much excitement.
This year, the 29th annual fundraising banquet will take place on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at the Los Angeles Airport Marriott – 5855 West Century Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90045. The event, hosted by Leo Gilling, promises to bring together approximately 300 guests in the local community.
This year we will be honoring Diane Pollard, President and CEO of Issa Trust Foundation for her continued commitment to under-served populations in Jamaica, particularly its children. We will also be honoring Dr. Gregory Stoute for his unrelenting participation in JAAC’s Medical Mission as a long-time contributor to its Dental Team.
Saxophonist Vaughn Fahie, Marcus B Entertainment, Inc. (featuring DJ Nigel and Marcus B) and Jamaican Gold Sounds (featuring DJ Crooks and Qbwoy Anthony) will be providing entertainment throughout the night. In addition, we will have special performances by Season 7 “Voice” Finalist Damien Lawson.
Great entertainment, plus live and silent auctions, raffle prizes and door prizes, amounts to a wonderful evening!
